Two nights only: The Amber Lounge returns for the Night Race

Schumacher was there. Massa called it an "amazing place," while Naomi Campbell and Heidi Klum are on the VVIP invite list. And no, it's not the changing room for the Singtel Grid Girls.
Schumi reportedly hit the dance floor at the 2008 party, but this year's Amber Lounge will miss the presence of the German superstar at the Singapore F1.Amber Lounge, the traveling Formula One party started by Sonia Irvine, sister of former Formula One driver (and one-time Schumacher teammate) Eddie Irvine, will return to the Singapore Night Race for the second time. The name's quite the misnomer, as it's not a permanent place or nightclub, but a roving concept party with specially-built venues at or near the F1 circuit tracks -- Singapore will be the fourth venue to host the party after Monaco, Barcelona and Valencia.
Just like last year, the Singapore Amber Lounge will take place on September 26 and 27 at the Temasek Reflection venue close to the circuit (between the Conrad Centennial and Ritz-Carlton Hotels on Temasek Avenue). If the previous party was anything to gauge -- 15 of the F1 drivers including Schumi joined celebrities and race-goers on the dance floor -- this year's party will see some big names make an appearance.
F1 star-gazing at Amber Lounge, as with most Formula One events, will come with a hefty pricetag. A VVIP table for eight goes for 7,250 euros and the Classic table for eight – with unlimited Moet Chandon champagne – will set you back 3,995 euros. There is also a VIP pass for individuals (500 euros) allowing entry and a free-flow of champagne and all alcoholic drinks. A no-media-access policy (much to our disappointment), ensure guests can glug down the bubbly without fear of paparazzi.
This year, Remy Cointreau is Amber Lounge Singapore's official spirit and champagne partner. Check the Amber Lounge website for bookings and more details.
