Capital M opens in China's (northern) capital

The one time smoked salmon looks better off a bagel.Michelle Garnaut has done it again. After her successes in Shanghai and Hong Kong, she’s now turned her F&B-trained eye to Beijing, opening Capital M.
Opened by the M Restaurant Group in the northern capital’s recently renovated Qianmen Dajie, the venue has a breathtaking view of Tian'anmen Square.
The 400-seat restaurant features a formal dining room, a central bar and a lounge area -- The Oval Room -- as well as wrap-around garden terraces -- all in the chic M style that Shanghailanders have come to expect of venues associated with Garnaut.
Although paving its own way in the north, Capital M will share with its Hong Kong (M at the Fringe) and Shanghai (M on the Bund) siblings the group’s signature cuisine and glamorous setting in an historic locale. Captial M is a"don't miss" stop on your itinerary next time you're up in Beijing.
