Sheraton Seoul D Cube City Hotel to open in southwest Seoul next month
Five-star hotels in Seoul tend to cluster north of the Han River, so business travelers with meetings in Youido and ladies who lunch in Gangnam will be happy to hear of the new five-star Sheraton hotel that is opening next month.
Perched above Shindorim subway station, the Sheraton D Cube City Hotel is a 15-floor luxury hotel occupying floors 27 to 41 of D Cube City, a "multidimensional city complex" with shopping malls, restaurants and a performance hall, which opened on August 26.
In addition to 269 rooms and suites, the new Sheraton hotel include an "all-day market concept restaurant" called Feast, an indoor swimming pool, indoor golf practice ranges, a ballroom and, of course, a luxury spa.
And the meaning behind the mystifying moniker?
According to the public relations team, D Cube is short for "D-Cubed," which in turn stands for "Dream, Drama and Delight."
The hotel will open to the public on September 16.
