Seoul Theater Center is a popular date spot on weekends.

Located in the center of Daehak-ro, the Seoul Theater Center is the hub of the theatrical arts of Korea. The Center promotes various cultural programs, operates a discount ticket booth, and provides information and materials on the Daehak-ro performances.

A cultural space founded by Sehun Oh, the Seoul city mayor, and managed by Hosang Ahn, the representative of the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, the Seoul Theater Center opened in November 2007 and is a popular arts spot for Seoulites.

On the first floor there is a small stage where various programs such as showcase performances and press conferences are held. The second floor is a cozy space where approximately 10,000 items in the form of books, DVDs, periodicals, academic theses, posters and leaflets are accessible.
