Time to spare at Mumbai airport?

Rent a portable DVD player and film of your choice, then carry it on the flight to New Delhi
Find the ETOM counter at Carnation Lounge, domestic terminal 1C, Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

I don't know about you, but on flights I like to watch to my own movies, except that my laptop battery always dies at the denouement.

Entrepreneur Surbhit Shah knows this kind of pain. He used to manufacture and market pharmaceuticals and travelled a lot more and a lot longer between cities that don't connect by air, such as Lucknow and Baroda.

In April, he and his brother Amit started Entertainment On Move (ETOM), renting out gaming and DVD consoles at Mumbai's domestic airport.

You can kill a couple hours if your flight's delayed or take the entertainment on-board to New Delhi, returning it to an ETOM rep when you land, for a mere Rs 299.

They've tied up with 70mm, a well-known movie rental company, serving up 20,000 of the latest English and Hindi film titles like "The Fighter" and "Band Baaja Baaraat."

ETOM is actually India’s first on-the-move entertainment and electronics airport retailer, currently available only on the Mumbai-Delhi one-way sector. But by the end of summer the service will be available to Hyderabad and Bangalore travelers as well.

Shah's not forgotten his fellow Rajdhani railway passengers and plans to get ETOM's portable 7-inch screen Mitashi DVD players and gaming consoles on the tracks soon.

Book online with Entertainment On Move 72 hours before you travel, or tele-book +91 9769821652 (Mumbai) or +91 8447438902 (New Delhi) between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
