Shemaroo's YouTube Bollywood movie channel

Full-length Bollywood movies online, on-demand, free of charge and yeah, legal

Shemaroo YouTubeMajor Bollywood film production house and distributor Shemaroo has launched a free YouTube movie channel stocked with 20 of its full-length feature films for starters.

Titles you can now watch on your laptop in bed, include "Fool-n-Final" and "Dil to Bachha Hai Ji," plus old Hindi hit films such as "Anand," "Golmaal" and "Teesri Kasam."

Gautam Anand, director of Google's content partnerships for the JAPAC region says, “Shemaroo has been one of the early adopters of YouTube for distribution of their content on the Internet in India. Long-form premium content like movies is emerging as a big category on YouTube and we are committed to bringing movies across all genres to our users.”

From pioneering Mumbai's first circulating book library in 1962, Shemaroo grew as a distributor of classic Bollywood films to television sets across the globe and is now one of the first to offer premium online video content in India.

Shemaroo's other YouTube channel launched in March, called Movie in 15 Minutes. It's a blessed concept for those not willing to commit three hours waiting for a bad Bollywood film to end -- surely one of the slowest, most painful ways to die a metaphoric death.
