Kate Whitehead is a Hongkonger and has made the city her home since she was eight. She escaped for university and returned after her master’s degree and was on staff at the Hong Kong Standard and the South China Morning Post. Most recently, Kate was the editor of Cathay Pacific’s inflight magazine, Discovery.

The author of two Hong Kong crime books -- After Suzie and Hong Kong Murders -- she is now working on a novel and has never been happier.
