Red dawn in Sydney: Massive dust storm blankets city
Sydney residents and travellers to the harbor city awoke on Wednesday to eerie scenes as a huge dust storm choked the city.
An "extremely rare event," according to experts, the storm was expected to move north and hit the Queensland capital of Brisbane later in the day.
It provided spectacular scenes but wreaked havoc on transportation systems.
Those suffering asthma or other breathing problems were advised to stay indoors.
