CNN's Talk Asia speaks with the first Chinese taikonaut Yang Liwei. In 2003 Yang Liwei became a national hero when he became the first Chinese man in space.

The Chinese space program has really taken off since then, in 2008  Zhai Zhigang became the first taikonaut to make a spacewalk, and in a few years China is aiming to blast off its first female taikonaut.

Even with setbacks such as the Sichuan launched Indonesian satellite not making its correct orbit earlier this month, China is plowing ahead with ambitious plans for their space program.
