Conrad Seoul opens in Korea
If you were one of the 8.9 million tourists who visited Seoul last year, you may know how difficult it is to find a hotel room during peak season.
Let alone one with a great view, high ceilings. access to the subway and comparatively close to Seoul's airports.
Conrad Hotels, the luxury brand of Hilton Worldwide, opened the Conrad Seoul in the Yeouido financial district on Monday November 12, featuring all of the above.
This is the first hotel opening in Korea for Conrad.
The new eco-friendlier hotel (it has solar panels and uses gray water in its toilets) has 434 rooms and is now the closest luxury hotel to both Gimpo and Incheon international airports in Seoul. The Conrad Seoul also connects to Yeouido Station, where subway lines 5 and 9 converge.
As an opening promotion, the hotel is offering a package called “Luxury of being yourself,” where guests will be able to choose between a complimentary breakfast or a room upgrade. In addition, HH Gold and Diamond members can rack up 5,000 points for their stays.
The Conrad Seoul adds three new restaurants to Yeouido's sorely lacking fine dining scene -- the 37 Grill and Bar restaurant with a 360-degree view of the city, Italian restaurant Atrio and all-day fusion restaurant Zest.
They wouldn't provide us a rack rate, but we looked up a standard room for the first weekend of December and it came to ₩310,000 (US$284) per night plus tax. An advance purchase rate (full prepayment, no refund) is available on their website.
