Our favorite Lumpini Park festival is back to showcase some of the world’s best buskers
Bangkok International Street Show
The Bangkok International Street Show gives us yet another reason to get out and enjoy this fine 'winter' weather.

The Bangkok International Street Show starts Thursday at Lumpini Park, bringing in over 52 Thai and international street performance acts.

The word ‘busker’ often brings to mind tired old clowns making balloon poodles and off-key guitar players on city street corners. Get those images out of your head as this three-day festival is anything but stale.

Sure, the usual mimes, clowns and jugglers are all there. But they’re at the top of their game. The free show also has acrobats, contortions and escapes, fire eating and sword swallowing. Who doesn’t love to watch an old fashioned brush with death?

Some impressive performers from around the region are among the international acts, including Vientienne’s Kabong Lao theatre troupe, which The Nation calls a "must see."

For more on the show and its performers check out the official Bangkok International Street Show website. We apologize in advance for the annoying little monkey icon that follows your curser around the page.
