Photo gallery: Cake imitates life in Bangkok’s coolest novelty desserts
Bangkok might be salivating over Krispy Kreme donuts right now, but we’re craving sweets of another kind: made-to-order novelty cakes from Fin-ish Me Cupcakes.
The home-based business of former Thai actress turned professional baker Wanwalai Suredechakul, Fin-ish Me Cupcakes' creations range from red velvet cakes made to look like luxury brand purses to cutesy cupcakes for kids covered in Thomas the Tank Engine icing designs.
Though many of the designs look inedible, the cakes are actually delicious as they're made with top ingredients such as Belgian chocolates, Heilala vanilla extracts and vanilla pods for the cheesecakes. Need a cake for a vegan? They've got those too.
Check out some of our favorite Finish-Me creations, based on client requests. The full gallery can be accessed above by clicking on the main image.

"The Wealthy Money Cake" is one of Finish-Me's most frequently ordered cakes, says Wanwalai. It's usually given to elders or as a gift for business openings.
