Halloween in Bangkok: Parties, pub crawls and kid’s stuff

Bangkok is bursting with Halloween celebrations this year, whether you’re looking for a frighteningly huge blowout or something tame for the kids.
Here are our top weekend picks:
Spirits of Khao San Road
Khao San Road has been a Halloween hot spot for years, but this is the first year the backpacker haven is holding an official Halloween festival.
The whole road will be turned into a giant freak fest from October 29-31, featuring haunted houses and DJs including Soma, Trasher and CMYK. Parties are from 7 p.m. to late. For more info, check out their Facebook page.
Lady Gaga Halloween Party
VIE Bar at Bangkok’s Vie Hotel is holding a Lady Gaga Halloween Party on October 30. The DJ will naturally be spinning plenty of Gaga hits, while the bar is serving cocktails with names like the Monster Margarita, Pumpkin Martini, Vampire Bite and Witches Brew.
There’ll also be a chance to win prizes including a night in a VIE Hotel Bangkok Deluxe Suite for the guest with the best Lady Gaga costume.
