Author: Simon Ostheimer

Growing up in colonial Hong Kong, Simon Ostheimer always felt more at home in Asia than anywhere else. He spent family holidays exploring the streets of Saigon, playing on the beaches of Boracay and eating Assam laksa at the food stalls of Penang. That probably explains why he became an Asia-specialist editor/writer, spending nearly a decade running magazines and newspapers in Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and now Phuket, where he is Managing Editor of The Phuket News.
