Author: Michael Parker-Stainback
Born in the American South, Michael Parker-Stainback is a journalist and translator who has lived in Mexico City since 2007, following previous lives in Los Angeles and New York.
Specializing in urban culture and its protagonists, he is the author of StyleMap Mexico City and a contributor to the TimeOut Guide to Mexico City. His writing has been featured in Gatopardo, Travesías and Inside México (Mexico City), TimeOut (London) and The Guide (New York); "Welcome to San Miguel: Guía para mexicanos" (Gatopardo, September 2010) was nominated for Mexico's Benítez Cultural Journalism Prize.
